Since posting earlier this week about Cathy Zielske’s shop opening, I’ve been plugging away creating new layouts. I’ve been motivated by a new list of stories I jotted down and Cathy’s super clean templates and stamps that make it easy to plug in my story, my way.

This layout is a great example of taking one of Cathy’s tidy templates and adding in layers of color and textures to make it mine. Busy templates make me feel like I have to add a ton of stuff that isn’t really necessary. Cathy’s templates make me feel like I am done once the photos, title, and story are on the page. Then I get to play a bit by adding in some patterns, textures, or colors.
