Start Fresh {Simple Scrapper}

This week I am participating in the Simple Scrapper “Start Fresh” event. The event itself is short but the preparation it brings should carry me through the year. This class was kinda meant for me as I get easily distracted, overwhelmed with new ideas, and have trouble following through.

Our first assignments was to identify your core intention for the year then go to Pinterest and look for an inspirational image to go along with the intention. I picked “just finish” as my intention and couldn’t find exactly what I wanted on Pinterest so I made my own.

So here is my Nike-Just-Do-It inspired image. (It’s purple because I bought a purse and a travel cup in this grayish purple color–completely coincidentally–so I decided it was my color for 2015.)

To me, the idea of “just finish it” means to set aside perfection and get it done. A victory this past year was getting the first half of my 2014 Project Life album printed. And getting that in my hands became motivation to finish my PL year.

So what would I like to finish in 2015?

  • Project Life 2014 (digital)
  • December Daily 2014 (paper)
  • Before Your Story (digital)
  • Project Life 2015 (digital)

This year I will also incorporate more traditional layouts into my Project Life album. I love how a big layout next to a PL page really highlights a specific event or story.

Note: I was about to retake a photo of the PL album because it’s not a great photo. But in the interest of FINISHING, even just this blog post, I left it as-is. Victory!
